I grew up in a small town in western NY and have had a passion for science my entire life. After graduating from Coastal Carolina University with a Marine Science degree I ventured off to Hawaii to work with critically endangered birds. When I moved back to the main land I settled in North Carolina and worked in both a laboratory and veterinary setting. In 2015, I decide to become a science teacher and share my passion with students of all ages. In my classroom, I focus on aligning citizen science projects with the curriculum. This allows my students to participate and contribute to real science. When I am not teaching I can be found doing a variety of different things. I love sports, music, art, the theater, food trucks, traveling, and so much more!
